Russia is the big country in area extent
of 17075,5 thousand sq. km. There are 1030 cities, 2153 settlements
of city type (1.1.1983). It is located in the Eastern part of Europe
and Northern part of Asia. Russia borders on Korea, Chinese People's
Republic, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Byelorussia,
Lithuania, Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Finland and Norway. Capital of
the state is Moscow. The largest cities are Moscow
(9.408.100 people), Saint-Petersburg
(4.436.700 people), Samara (1.223.000),
Omsk (1.161.000), Chelyabinsk
(1.125.000), Kazan (1.092.000), Ufa

Basic Russian Sight-seeings.
In the territory of Russian Federation there are over 100 reserves
and national parks, the great rivers: Volga, Ob, Yenisei, Lena,
Amur; the biggest and deep lake Baikal, mountain tops of the Big
Caucasus and resorts of the Caucasian Mineral Waters, Teletskoe
lake in Altai, geysers and volcanos of Kamchatka.
Resort zones at the Black sea are very attractive to tourists;
